Blessed Hope Champions Orphanage & Academy is an orphanage/school located in Bulamu, Uganda, Africa. Bulamu is twenty miles outside of Kampala, Uganda.

“Bulamu” in English is translated “life” and that is what this academy/orphanage strives to provide.

178 children live at the orphanage at this time. There are an additional 30 orphans who attend preschool/kindergarten. They will move to the orphanage when they are six or seven years old. Classes range from primary grades 1-6. There are currently seven teachers at the Academy, all are university trained and government certified.

Pastor Joel Bukenya of Uganda, Africa is the founder of this organization.  There is also a Board of Directors overseeing the orphanage.

Blessed Hope Champions Orphanage & Academy is a private institution and is funded by contributions from individuals and churches.  It receives no funding from the Ugandan government.
