Blessed Hope Champions Orphanage and Academy

The Academy/Orphanage is currently undertaking the following projects:

 

· Vocational Classroom

· Playground Equipment

A vocational classroom is needed to teach the children a skill.  This is a necessity in Uganda as the poverty rate is extremely high.  It is essential that the children know how to make a living before they leave the Academy/Orphanage.

A foundation has been laid and the walls are up for the Vocational Building, but funding is needed for the rest of the building.  The projected cost to complete the building is $9,000.

Projected date for the opening of the vocational building is January of 2009.  Classes that will be offered will be electronics, hair styling, sewing, mechanics and computers.

If you would like to contribute to this building fund, please note on the memo line of your check, “Africa Building Fund” and we will make sure it is used for that purpose.

At present time, there is only one slide, 3 swings, and  a merry-g0-round at the center.  There are 178 children and they are desperately in need for more playground equipment.

We would like to add another slide, 8 additional swings, and a set of monkey bars.
